We are already seeing storms brewing and, so far, staying out to sea. As things get more dangerous, please use the preparation guide to keep you and your family safe. It is up to you to keep yourself and the ones you love safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Storms happen yearly. We do not have to just stand by and wait for damage to happen. Take measures to keep your belongings safe by following a few simple steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Move needed paperwork to a safe water-tight area. If needed, use zip-lock bags to keep them dry.<\/li><li>Valuables should be stored above the waterline. That can be tough to figure if there is a leak in the roof, but do your best.<\/li><li>Easily damaged items should be carefully wrapped and stored for safety. Bubble wrap is great!<\/li><li>Get a flood insurance policy. Many policies are very affordable and will ensure coverage due to storm damage.<\/li><li>If the power is out, have water, food flashlights, etc. to make it through a few days.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Do not just survive the coming hurricane season, make sure you are prepared to make it through safely.
